Chronology Delineated
May 19, 2010
The dining/sitting room is turning into a map room of sorts. We’ve got the large Alaska map by the front door. Soon, we’ll have a whale chart above the dining table. And just last night we put up the chronology map print. It’s a repro of an antique print by Isaac Eddy and James Wilson. The print of a tree covers what went down between 4000 bc and 1813 ad. The detail is pretty spectacular. (Bonus: it covers up most of the paint tests from ages ago. FYI: we still have not decided on a color.)
And below is my morning situation, just for kicks – Iced coffee, toast, Tumblr.

alex, this is a very cool piece and what a great idea to cover the paint test marks..i’ll be trying this.
what beautiful rooms! i like the photo of your morning situation. i wish that was my situation! it’s a bit more chaotic here right now, but you’ve inspired me. i’m off to make some iced coffee.
Thanks Sue. Would love to see a photo!
Thanks Caroline! I am pretty lucky, I have the morning to myself usually. One of the few perks of having a different work schedule than my manfriend.
